to glorify God and enjoy Him forever

trampled-roses:

Hey guys I’m sorry I may not be online very often for a short while. Everything in my life is crumbling down, including things that I never expected could ever go wrong, and to be honest I don’t understand why God is allowing all these. Every morning when I wake up feeling strengthened by the love of Christ, I bump straight into 10 other problems on that day, and go to bed literally questioning what’s the point of my life. I don’t see the purpose of what I’m going through, how it’s possible that God can be glorified through this. Romans 8 is the only thing holding me together, but I don’t even have a clue about my life anymore. I just might not be mentally capable of posting uplifting things on here, and I don’t want to throw my troubles at you guys—you don’t deserve that negativity. I don’t have prayer requests because I can’t think of one when nothing is well, if you want to pray for me, just pray for my sanity. Thank you and I’m sorry.

I have been in this situation so many times. In fact I’ve recently found myself in it again.

I don’t know. I don’t think we are meant to understand when things like this happen. Maybe not in the moment. Maybe in the future. Actually, maybe never in this life. What matters is we can hold onto these things:

- God is sovereign.

- Whatever affliction touches you has been permitted by God for the sole purpose of sanctifying you and glorifying His name.

- And, “You do not find one godly man who came out of an affliction worse than when he went into it; though for a while he was shaken, yet at last he was better for an affliction” (Jeremiah Burroughs).

Sister, please know you are not on your own. Reach out to loved ones/church family/people you are comfortable with. We are meant to carry each other’s burdens. Don’t isolate yourself, because trust me, the loneliness and sorrow will fester. Above all, speak to your heavenly Father. Find comfort in the fact that Jesus Christ is praying for you and that ALL things work together for good.

We were not meant to live in earthly comfort, happiness, and ease. God will use suffering, trouble, hardships, pain in order to discipline us, wean our affections from this world, humble us, and draw us close to the Father. He does this with love.

My ask box/tumblr messenger (whatever it’s called) is also open, so please feel free to message me about whatever issue is pressing heavily on your heart. Talking helps, too. I’ll be praying for you

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 5:1-5
